We often get asked if we can include the inner cutout (the piece removed from the middle of your matboard) with your order.
The short answer:
Yes, for free – if the cutout is smaller than A4 size.
Yes, but with a charge – if the cutout is larger than A4 size
The fee will be whatever the cutout size would normally cost, less a 20% discount.
Why we can’t always give it away for free:
We design our pricing based on reusing the cutouts to make smaller matboards for other orders. These cutouts don't get thrown away and if we are to give away large cutouts for free, it reduces our material efficiency and increases costs overall.
